There are many, many different forms of pottery. This one has been fired in a wood stoked kiln, a Japanese art, called raku. The crown is of pohutukawa, and the lid is of puriri wood, extremely hard and durable.
The wood in this product has been carefully finished in environmentally friendly natural oils and waxes.
